GDE-GDEM seals are made of NBR 75 shore A. They work as sealing element on pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders' pistons. They are produced with a preload, so they are smaller than the nominal size of the grooves. Once placed in the housing groove, the outer lips reach the predetermined size. The hardness of the material facilitates the assembly.
The inner lip, with a static sealing function, is higher and thicker than outside lip and ensures the stop of the seal against axial displacements.
GDE are mounted on pistons in inch sizes and have lips with a sharp edge cut. The GDEM are instead mounted on pistons with metric size and have the lips defined with negative cut.
In addition to standard material, on request, they can be provided in other compounds, such as: FKM (Viton), EPDM, VMQ (Silicon).
