The HUNGER type FA guide band is mainly used on piston. It provides the guiding and supporting function between the piston and cylinder tube and prevents wear of the metal contact between them.
The FA has extreme abrasion resistance. The material that constitutes it POM-PTFE-bronze ensures low friction. It can be used for hydraulic oil with a mineral oil base, for water-oil emulsions and for fire-resistant fluids, as well as compressed air.
It has a U-shaped section and is divided with an angled butt. It can be easily expanded to fit into the corresponding installation grooves on the piston.
The U-shaped groove arrangement secures the guide ring against axial movement.
HUNGER guide rings can be used as single rings or multiple rings arranged next to each other.
The number depends on the expected lateral loads.
