Sliding bearings are low maintenance bushings and are made up of three layers. The bushings are made from low carbon steel, porous bronze and POM. In the internal sliding part, the sliding part, there are circular grease tanks. (see photo) the accumulation tanks must be greased and oiled before installation. This operation is necessary to ensure optimal work under relatively high loads at low speeds. These bushings are suitable for rotary and oscillating movements.
The advantages are:
- Noise and vibration absorption
- Re-lubrication possible
- Hydrodynamic applications possible
- High loads
- Low wear and friction
- No water absorption
- Low clearance during operation
- Limited dimensions
Characteristics:
- Allowable load (dyn./stat.), N/mm2 120 (v ≤ 0.02) / 250
- Friction coefficient m 0.02 .. 0.20
Application advice:
- Shaft tolerance f7 – h8
- Housing tolerance H7
- Shaft roughness Ra, mm 0 .. 0.8
- Shaft hardness, HB 150 – 600
