The GU range is characterised by a symmetrical lip profile. It is used for both rod and piston sealing in hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders. Material: NBR 90 Shore. GU is characterised by the sharp-edged lip seal. Its profile is identical to that of the GUM, differing in size with references in inches. In some cases, the seals are fitted with a stop ring, which prevents their axial movement. The stop ring must not compress the seal in the housing, but must allow for a clearance of 0.5 to 1 mm. In the ring, it is also necessary to make a series of holes, the purpose of which is to distribute the pressurised fluid equally over the two sealing lips. In addition to the standard material, GU can be supplied in other compounds on request: FKM (Viton), EPDM, VMQ (Silicone).
